OPERATIONAL STRUCTURE

Originally, a unit in the Directorate of Marketing, TV Enteprises, ab-initio, is to operate with the full orientation for a private sector organization in view. In pursuit of this objective, its operations shall proceed in coherence with the spirit and letter of its Articles of Association, and according to the following departmentalization:

Marketing

The Marketing Services deparment, as the revenue builder of TV Enterprises shall engage in the following activities:

  1. Events marketing, including special sports events, festivals, and acquisition of broadcast rights for such.
  2. Clients' Services.
  3. Organization of Trade Fairs/Exhibitions.
  4. Special Events.
  5. Agency services, including media planning and advert placements.
  6. Sales/marketing of publications.
  7. Acquisition of Foreign/Home-made programmes/TV Rights.
  8. Management of Business Centre/Internet Cafes, etc.
Production

The services profile of the production arm of TV Enterprises shall include :

  1. Production/packaging of special documentaries
  2. Production/acquisition of video-tape, video cassettes, Sound recordings and any other form of recording apparatus for programmes, events, songs, dramas and other forms of entertainment.
  3. Design and manufacture films, gramophone and other mechanical records and materials for use by the broadcasting industry.
  4. Dubbing for Home Video Industry/distribution of Home video and films.
  5. OB services and coverage of special events.
  6. Production of TV commercials, promos and jingles.
  7. Acquisition of copyrights/licenses.
  8. Collection of both news and information for distribution to fee-paying subscribers.
  9. Development and ownership of production studio/outfits.
Publication

The publication department shall undertake the following functions:

  1. Design and production of books based on TV programmes.
  2. Design/production of publications for schools.
  3. Design and production of promotional materials.
  4. Design and publication of specialized books and/or Journals.
  5. Design and production of Calendars, seasonal cards and gift items, etc.
Finance

The Finance/Administration arm of the Enterprises shall be responsible for the traditional functions/roles assigned to this department in all public and private institutions, including:

  1. Analysis and evaluation of projects.
  2. Preparation of Financial reports.
  3. Developing/advising on personnel management and development policies.
  4. Development of corporate plans.
